Welcome to Chakrus! These Terms are an agreement between you and Chakrus (“Chakrus”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Chakrus app (“the App”), you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
01Who can use Chakrus
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You may have only one account, and the information you give us (including your name, age, gender and photos) must be true and your own.
- You may not use Chakrus if we have previously removed you, or if the law where you live does not allow it.
02Your account
- You can sign in with your phone number, Google, Apple or email. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us straight away at support@chakrus.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
03Verification
- Some features need a live selfie check. The check confirms that your selfie matches your profile photo; it is automated and is not a background or criminal check.
- A verified tick does not guarantee anyone’s identity, intentions or behaviour. Always use your own judgement.
04Community rules
- Be respectful. Do not harass, threaten, abuse, stalk or discriminate against anyone.
- No scams, fraud, requests for money, selling, advertising or other commercial use without our written permission.
- No fake accounts, impersonation, or photos that are not yours or that you do not have the right to share.
- No nudity, sexual, violent or hateful content, and nothing illegal.
- Do not misuse safety features, such as Women-Only Travel Mode, or try to get around blocks, limits or verification.
- Do not copy, scrape or interfere with the App or other users’ data.
05Trips and meeting people
- Chakrus helps people find each other. We are not a travel agent or tour operator: we do not organise, book, sell or supervise any trip, and we are not a party to arrangements between users (including sharing costs).
- You are responsible for your own safety and decisions. Meet in public places first, tell someone you trust (you can use Tell my family), and never send money to someone you have not met.
- We are not responsible for what users do, on or off the App, to the extent the law allows.
06Your content
- You are responsible for what you post: your profile, photos, trips and messages.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it to run, improve and promote the App, until you delete it or your account.
- We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
07Reports, moderation and enforcement
- You can report or block anyone. Reports are confidential.
- We may review reports and content, and may warn, restrict, suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk, with or without notice.
08Premium and payments
- Premium (Chakrus VIP Passport) is an optional paid subscription. Prices and what is included are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your store account settings.
- Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their policies, unless the law says otherwise.
- Free accounts have usage limits (currently 2 trips per week and 4 requests per day). We may change free limits and Premium features; we will tell you about changes that affect your subscription.
09Ads and rewards
- Free accounts see ads. You can choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock extra posts or requests; rewards have no cash value and expire if unused.
10Ending your account
- You can delete your account any time in Settings & Privacy → Delete Account. You have 7 days to cancel; after that your account and content are permanently deleted, except where we must keep information for safety or legal reasons (see our Privacy Policy).
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms.
11Disclaimers
- The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it running and safe, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or that you will find a travel partner.
12Limitation of liability
- To the extent the law allows, Chakrus is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by other users.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13Governing law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be handled by the courts in India, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
14Changes to these Terms
- We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the App or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Chakrus after that, the new Terms apply.
